A literature search performed with the search phrases 'Awake Bruxism' and 'Ecological Momentary Assessment' identified fifteen articles. Among the subjects, eight individuals satisfied the inclusion criteria. Seven studies, which all used the same smartphone-based application, reported AB behavior frequencies that ranged from 28% to 40% within a week. This study sought to develop a non-sedation approach for MRI scans in pediatric cancer and neurofibromatosis type 1 patients, focusing on (1) evaluating a behavioral MRI training program, (2) exploring potential modifying factors, and (3) measuring patient well-being throughout the intervention period. Using a process-oriented screening, 87 neuro-oncology patients (mean age 68.3 years) underwent a two-step MRI preparation program. This involved training inside the MRI scanner.
